Why AI Company Swag Ends Up in a Drawer
Company swag has one job: to still be in use six months later. Most of it fails on week one, because a tote bag is not a gift, it is a logo with a handle.

What actually survives on a desk
Look at the desk of anyone who writes software and count the branded objects. There will be one or two, and they will have something in common: they do a job. A mug does a job. A mechanical keycap that clicks does a job. A tote bag does a job exactly once, at the conference, and then it becomes storage for other tote bags. The test for swag is not whether someone accepts it — people accept anything free — but whether it earns space on a surface that is already crowded.
Why AI companies have this problem worse
The AI industry runs on developer goodwill and hires the same few thousand engineers repeatedly, so everyone is competing for attention with identical stickers, identical hoodies and identical water bottles. When the swag is indistinguishable, the logo on it is doing no work. Meanwhile the audience is specifically people who care about their keyboards, their desk setup and the objects they touch a hundred times a day. That is a rare piece of luck: the thing they would actually value happens to be hardware, and hardware is brandable.
What we brand
Everything in our catalogue starts as a blank. Keycaps and keycap fidgets take a printed mark on the cap itself. Charms take your logo in place of ours. Status lights and desk pets take a mark on the body. Macropad top plates can be engraved. The objects are already designed for people who talk to coding agents all day, which means the recipient does not have to pretend to like it.
How a run works
- Tell us the quantity, the products and the deadline. Fifty units per design is the minimum that makes sense economically; there is no upper limit we have hit yet.
- Send artwork. One colour prints cleanest on keycaps; full colour is fine on charms and bodies.
- We produce a physical sample and post it to you. Nothing goes into production until you have held one.
- Approve, and the run ships in three to four weeks including air freight and customs.
What we will not do
We will not put your logo on somebody else's trademark. Several items in the retail versions of these products arrive printed with AI vendor logos or console branding, and we strip all of it before we sell anything — which is also why we can print yours on it cleanly. If a supplier cannot provide an unbranded blank, we do not carry the product.
What it costs
Branding adds tooling and setup, so unit price depends on quantity and how many colours are involved rather than on a fixed list. The honest short answer: at fifty units the per-item cost lands near our retail price, and it falls quickly from there. Tell us the budget and the headcount and we will tell you what fits, including which products to skip.
Getting started
Tell us the occasion and the number. If you want to see the finish first, order a single Keycap Fidget or Pixel Charm at retail and look at it before committing to a run.
