Keycap Charms for AI Tools
A keycap charm is a keyboard keycap turned into a small object you carry or fidget with, mounted on a base or a cord rather than on a keyboard. Most buyers type fidget or clicker rather than charm, and the words describe the same thing. This page covers the three we make, what is printed on them, and one point we want to be direct about.
Are these made by the AI companies?
No, and we would rather settle that before anything else. We are not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI or Google. Nothing here is company merchandise, nothing carries anyone's approval, and there is no partnership or arrangement behind it. These are desk objects made for people who use these tools, sold by us and nobody else.
Which ones do you make?
- Keycap Fidget, $19. Three keycaps stepped diagonally on a clear base, each printed with the mark of a different AI tool. It sits on a desk and it clicks.
- Triple Keycap Charm, $29. Three keycaps in a 3D-printed column on a paracord tail, finished with an aluminium carabiner, for a bag or a belt loop.
- Pixel Charm, $15. Two paracord charms: a moulded orange pixel figure and a flat speech-bubble tag.
What are they actually for?
Fidgeting, mostly. If you run a coding agent, a good share of the day is spent waiting with your hands free, and a switch that clicks is a better place to put that energy than a phone. The clicking is the product. Nobody needs one, which is a strange thing for a shop to write down, and it is still true.
The charms are for carrying rather than clicking. They read as a small signal to people who recognise the shape, and as an ordinary keyring to everyone else.
Can I have one personalised?
No. We do not offer engraving, personalisation or custom printing on any of these. What is in the photographs is what ships. If you want a particular mark on a particular cap, we are not the right shop for that.
Can I put the caps on a real keyboard?
Treat them as objects rather than spares. Each one is built into a base, a column or a cord, so they are not sold as keyboard parts and we would not buy them for that. If you want something that sits on the desk and does a job, our note on desk toys for people who run coding agents covers the rest of the small end of the catalogue.
