Voice Pad

Three keys and a knob for a desk-based dictation setup. Voice Pad is supplied with a microphone. Confirm its connection and physical arrangement before ordering; a built-in microphone is not established by the current listing.

What is the Voice Pad?

A compact mechanical keypad supplied with a microphone, sold specifically for voice input to coding agents. Three mechanical keys, dictate, plus two programmable macro keys, and one rotary knob, on a clear acrylic base. The two keys either side of dictate work as ordinary programmable macro keys, and the knob is assignable.

What is the Voice Pad for?

Use Voice Pad with compatible speech-to-text software to draft prompts and other text. The desk-based controls may suit a setup you leave in place between drafts. Check the supplied microphone, recognition and app behavior in your intended environment; placement alone does not establish required speaking volume or transcription quality.

How do you use the Voice Pad?

1. Connect the pad using its supported USB-C arrangement, and confirm how the supplied microphone connects to the computer running your dictation app.
2. Configure the dictation control using the functions supported by the device and your speech-to-text app, then test capture in a harmless document.
3. Use the start and stop behavior supported by your configured app. Review the transcribed text and its destination before sending it; release-to-transcribe behavior is not independently confirmed.
4. Set up the other keys and knob using the supported configuration method. Verify the intended shortcuts in your app before relying on them.

How does the Voice Pad compare?

The Voice Pad versus the Whisper Key. Voice Pad offers desk-based controls; Whisper Key has a handheld form. Compare the supported microphone arrangement and software requirements for each. Neither form factor guarantees private speech or a particular recognition result.

Frequently asked questions

How is the Voice Pad different from the Whisper Key?

Whisper Key uses a handheld form, while Voice Pad provides desk-based controls with a supplied microphone. Confirm the microphone arrangement and compatible software for each; there is no independently verified speaking-volume or recognition comparison here.

Can I use the other keys as macros?

The listing describes programmable macro keys and an assignable knob. Check the supported remapping method for your operating system and test the exact shortcuts you need. This does not establish an automatic coding-agent integration.

What to know before buying

Before ordering, confirm the microphone arrangement, USB-C setup, remapping method and compatible dictation software. A labelled dictation key does not provide transcription on its own. Choose the form that fits your workflow after checking those requirements.
